A Note to Our Customers

Hi Folks!

This is weird- it definitely feels odd to not be able to high five or hug you or simply catch up. But please know we missed you! Our team is working hard to accommodate you with this “new normal”.

If you need a special order or your beverage needs something not listed, please call or make notes in the instruction section of online ordering.

Our online ordering is new to us as well so if there are errors, please let us know and we will try to make it right!

Thank you all for your patience and support!

Our House

A rustic artisan coffee and sandwich shop, located in the "backyard" of Ogunquit at 178 Main St. (behind Cumberland Farms)

With cozy indoor seating and a sunny patio, you can feel free to stick around, or if a beach day is in your plans, you can always take it to go!

With a kids menu and both Gluten free and Vegan options, there's something everyone can enjoy!

Enjoy a hot or cold beverage, a yummy home-baked breakfast treat, a hearty sandwich or lunch salad.

So come hang out at the Backyard, we look forward to meeting you!

Proudly serving BARD Coffee

nice to meet you

Growing up in Saco Maine, Amy moved to the Boston area after college and began her entrepreneurial journey where she continued her passion for all things coffee and the community it surrounded. After almost a decade of co-owning/operating a cafe in Somerville, MA...she was ready for a change.

Ogunquit was the change she was looking for. February of 2012 began a new chapter, in the location that once formerly housed a bike shop, Backyard became a place of gathering around good coffee, good food, and good people.

Our Story

better together

The backyard is where people come to be together, that's why we host a variety of community events throughout the season and integrate the wonderful community around us wherever we can.

Stop by to see local artwork and enjoy a variety of local foods including bagels, lobster, coffee and tea!
